He [the Son of Man] will place the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.  Then the king will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father.  Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.  For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and  you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.' (Mt. 25:33-36)

The Church is committed to supporting those in need for it is in the poor that we see Christ.  The Catholic Church as a whole is the greatest charitable organization in the world.  Various apostolates like Catholic Charities and Catholic Relief Services help reach those whom we do not know.  The parish reaches those in our own territory.  The needs are many.  Some are physical, some emotional, some spiritual.  The various parish ministries are there to help in all these ways and to allow us to connect with each other becoming a truly Catholic Parish Family.  Consider getting involved in one of these ministries by contacting the parish office or the person listed.

Not seeing a ministry you feel is important?  Contact our Director of Evangelization, Irene Schneider, to discuss future opportunities.

Parish Ministries

Liturgical Ministries --  The Sacrifice of the Mass is the greatest celebration on earth.  It is where heaven and earth meet.  Though we all participate in the Mass, there are various roles that help enhance the celebration.  Altar Servers, Lectors, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, Cantors, and Ushers all help make the Mass beautiful.

Children's Liturgy of the Word -- Jesus said, "Allow the children to come to me."  During the 10:30 a.m. Mass children are invited to go to a classroom during the Liturgy of the Word to hear the Sunday's Gospel and do an activity to help them understand better.  This is for children from 3-2nd Grade. The adults who lead are in Compliance with the Safe Environment Policy and have a youth assisting them.  At this time they follow the Faith Formation Schedule, taking off for the holidays.

Religious Education/Faith Formation -- Assisting parents pass on the faith is one of the most important ministries the Church offers.  Our faith formation classes present the teachings of the Church in a systematic and age appropraite way.  Catechists give wittness to the faith and are offered opportunities for their own formation and work towards certification or maintaining ceritification.  Hall Monitors assist in guarding the hallways and assiting catechists in obtaining supplies if necessary.  We are alwasy looking for additional help, so contact Irene Schneider, for more information. All Adults are in compliance with the Safe Environment Policy.
